#3 Happy People Avoid Unhealthy Social Comparison

Comparing yourself to someone else can be detrimental; but sometimes helpful.  If we’re somehow ‘better’ than the person that we’re comparing ourselves to, it gives us an unhealthy sense of superiority; if we are ‘worse’, in our perception, it weakens our self esteem. For social comparison to benefit us, the motivation needs to come from a healthy place.
